The symbiotic nature of relationships between business communicators and the news media will be the focus of a unique forum hosted by IABC/SC, May 10, from 11:45
a.m.-1:15 p.m., at Seibels House and Garden in downtown Columbia’s historic district.The panel for this round-table-style discussion includes:

Over the past 5-10 years, there have been significant changes to the ways in whichnews and information is disseminated and consumed. We’ll explore how these changes
have impacted business communicators and the news media, and consider what changes may lie ahead. We’ll also discuss opportunities for improving the effectiveness of
interactions between business communicators and media professionals.
Peggy Binette, associate director of public relations at the University of South Carolina, will facilitate. Questions from the audience will be encouraged.
