Then, hear from a panel of Milliken communication subject matter experts, including:

  • Alan Jenkins, SCMP, Senior Manager, Brand and Communications (Internal Communications)
  • Jessie Riley, Senior Manager, Brand and Communications (Brand)
  • Tamika Prince, Manager, Brand and Communications (Community Relations)

During “Every Company is a People Company,” Milliken brand and communications leaders will share how strategic, authentic storytelling reinforces the company’s values, and why those stories matter to associates, customers, and other vital stakeholders. The speakers will showcase Milliken’s internal and external campaigns that emphasize the difference our associates make to the company and the world at large.

Going beyond Milliken, the panelists will share why strategic, authentic storytelling is crucial to strong employee relationships at any company. The speakers will also share data that highlights how workers around the world value and trust the companies they work for and depend on them to build fulfilling careers.

For this event to take place IABC/SC must have 12 people registered by May 9. The event will be canceled if not enough people register so make sure to invite your colleagues to join you for this tour and talk. If IABC/SC has to cancel the event, you will be notified of the cancellation and receive a refund of your registration fees.

 

About the Speakers:

Alan Jenkins – Senior Manager, Brand and Communications (Internal Communications) – Milliken & Company

Alan Jenkins headshotAlan Jenkins is a husband and a father of two daughters; he also recently celebrated his 26th year as a professional communicator. He began his career in journalism, learning the trade at a number of newspapers where versatility proved to be an enormous asset. He entered marketing in 2014 as a digital media specialist for a hospital system, where he learned to work with video and audio, social media communication, and script writing. While there, he also helped launch a health news website and created two viral videos. Today, Jenkins manages internal communications for Milliken & Company, a global manufacturer focused on materials science and sustainability.

 

Jessie Riley – Senior Manager, Brand and Communications (Brand) – Milliken & Company

Jessie Riley headshotJessie Riley is an experienced marketing and social media strategist. At Milliken, she drives content marketing strategy, creation, and activation planning for use across all owned, earned, and paid channels. Riley is a leader in building the Milliken brand globally; she develops content plans and activates brand-building efforts, and leverages data and insights to reach Milliken’s target audiences and elevate effective storytelling. She also has a history with IABC; from Sept. 2009-Sept. 2010, she served on the Board of Directors for IABC-DC chapter.

 

 

Tamika Prince – Manager, Brand and Communications (Community) – Milliken & Company

Tamika Prince HeadshotTamika Prince is an experienced marketing and communications professional, offering a unique blend of 15 years of expertise in brand strategy, marketing, communications, and community-driven leadership. Currently, at Milliken, Prince serves as the manager of brand communications and community relations. In this role, she oversees omnichannel communications and content creation, ensuring that brand messaging for both employee and community engagement is compelling and drives a unified brand experience. Additionally, Prince leads the management of the Milliken & Company Charitable Foundation, where she plays a key role in strengthening stakeholder relations and driving engagement through philanthropic initiatives.
